What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is where you refer someone to any product online and when that person buys the product based on your recommendation, you will receive a commission. This can be broken into four simple steps;

  1. 1. Individual is online surfing the web and decides to buy a item. He does a google search and somehow…
  2. 2. Ends up on your website, which may be a blog that happens to be advertising the product or item this individual is looking for
  3. 3. Individual clicks on the product on your site and is redirected to the merchant who is actually selling the items web site
  4. 4.The individual purchases the product on the merchants website and the merchant will give you the affiliate a commission for the referral.
  5. Why do merchants want affiliates and why they are willing to give good commissions? Because they would not have received the sale at all if it wasn’t for you, which means they, the merchant are happy get the sale even if they have to give you 30%.
